Silicon carbide (SiC) is a synthetic mineral commonly produced in electric furnaces by combining petroleum coke and silica sand or quartz at high temperatures between 1700° – 2500°C

This results in a product with different sic contents and grain sizes ready to be used in the metallurgical, refractory and abrasive sectors.
